EMS introduces new PSR and PSL Piezon Instruments

Fast and minimally-invasive, the PS instrument is ideal for calculus removal in deep periodontal pockets in all quadrants.

The intelligent combination of the NO PAIN1 technology with the PS instrument represents the key factor for a minimally invasive, pain-free1 treatment. The Perio Slim (PS) tip is made from medical-grade stainless steel metal using EMS' unique production methods, and provides an absolutely linear oscillation with unequalled precision. The PS instrument comes with a torque wrench and instrument holder, decreasing the risk of contamination and instrument loss. What's more, the PS instrument provides a bactericidal action on biofilm colonies thanks to its cavitation and acoustic streaming effect. The new PSR and PSL instruments complement the "much-loved" PS instrument and have been specifically designed for sub- and supra-gingival calculus removal in hard-to-reach distal and mesial areas as well as on root furcations. The instruments are perfect for patients with restricted openings or difficult access areas like upper periodontal pockets or the second and third molars and offer optimal dexterity and greater instrument control in the pocket. The new PSR and PSL instruments are arguably the best scaling instruments on the market.

  1. When used in accordance with EMS instructions and/or training by the Swiss Dental Academy.
