Inline with its increasing focus on supporting its extensive customer base across Australia and New Zealand, Hu-Friedy is staging its inaugural Australasian Education Symposium in Sydney, March 3-4, 2017.
The event, to be held at the Parkroyal Hotel in Darling Harbour, has been created in order to connect all members of the dental team by bringing together some of the most respected speakers in both Australia and New Zealand. Topics include periodontology, dental hygiene, infection control and practice workflow protocols. Participants will also have the option of attending a popular selection of hands-on workshops covering the topics of basic/advanced instrument sharpening techniques and contemporary periodontal diagnostic techniques and ergonomics.
"Hu-Friedy instruments are an integral part of many, many dental practices globally and we're constantly reminded that education is the foundation of our success," said Amanda Tomlin, Hu-Friedy's Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. "We already work extensively at undergraduate level with dental students and as is demonstrated by this inaugural symposium, more and more in support of practising clinicians.
"When we come out with a new dental instrument, for example, we seek to educate our customers on what it can do and how it can help them and their patients. We also foster relationships with industry leaders that can help dental professionals in some way and provide a forum for
discussion and education where they all can participate.
"Now, we're excited to be able to create a focussed event to bring much
of our educational philosophy to our
Australian and New Zealand customers.
"Our inaugural Hu-Friedy Education Symposium will highlight some of the amazing speakers we work with in our region and will have something for every member of the dental team.
"I know that there has already been a lot of interest generated for the main speaker program and our hands-on workshops on day two and the event is priced so that it is accessible to everyone."
Founded in 1908, Hu-Friedy has since become a world leader in dental instrument manufacturing. The company is focused on delivering the highest quality product, service and community experience in the dental industry in order to help dental professionals perform at their best.
