New implant instruments from Hu-Friedy

Hu-Friedy Surgical has expanded its surgical hand instrument line with the addition of three new instruments, including designs developed in conjunction with renowned clinician, Dr Egon Euwe.

Euwe Implant Placement Instrument (Figure 1)

The new Euwe Implant Placement Instrument, a collaboration between Dr Egon Euwe and Hu-Friedy, is designed for accurate placement of a tissue graft and secures positioning of the membrane during soft tissue procedures. The Euwe Implant Placement Instrument incorporates a sharp, tact-like working end to securely position the membrane during soft tissue procedures; a large curved working-end for accurate placement of the tissue graft; and a large #6 Satin Steel handle for increased comfort from reduced wrist and hand fatigue. The Euwe Implant Placement Instrument is handcrafted with Immunity Steel for optimal strength and corrosion resistance.

New Euwe Bone Scoop/Plugger Instrument by Hu-Friedy (Figure 2)

The new Euwe Bone Scoop/Plugger, a collaboration between Dr Egon Euwe and Hu-Friedy, is was designed for easy transport and non-stick compaction of bone graft material. Euwe Bone Scoop/Plugger incorporates a large, concave working-end for easy transport and delivery of bone graft material to the surgical site; large XTS coated plugger for smooth, non-stick compaction of bone graft material; and a large #6 Satin Steel Handle increased from comfort from reduced wrist and hand fatigue. Hu-Friedy Euwe Bone Scoop/Plugger is handcrafted with Immunity Steel for optimal strength and corrosion resistance.

Hu-Friedy Molt Curette with #6 handle (Figure 3)

The Hu-Friedy CM2/4 Molt Curette, which provides optimal access to the tooth socket for curettage, cyst removal and debridement, is now available in a Short #6 Satin Steel Handle. The new Curette incorporates large and small working ends for optimal access to the tooth socket, enhancing curettage, ease of cyst removal and debridement; and a large #6 Satin Steel Short Handle for increased comfort from reduced wrist and hand fatigue. The new Hu-Friedy CM2/4 Molt Curette is handcrafted with Immunity Steel for optimal strength and corrosion resistance.
