A Big Day Out for the Dental Team

A Big Day Out for the Dental Team will bring together new concepts in dentistry, new products and an exciting program of lecture topics and workshops for all the dental team. There will be opportunity to network amongst the dental profession, visit a fantastic trade display and share ideas and information to move us into New Horizons - the theme of the Conference.

A Big Day Out for the Dental Team is the largest event of its kind dedicated to Dental Assistants so make sure you do not miss it! Comments from participants of previous years include:

Highlights of the 2010 program include What’s on the Horizon for Practices and the Dental Team in 2011 presented by keynote speaker Dr Mark Sinclair, President of the ADA NSW Branch; Back to the Future - Oral Health and the Aged Care Conundrum presented by Dr Peter Foltyn; and Innovations in Endodontics - Where to now presented by Dr Stephen Blackler.

There will be 3 parallel streams of lectures and workshops to select from and also a wide variety of trade sponsors will be displaying their products and services.

A social program follows, offering a dinner on Friday night and a Saturday Shopping Spree!

The Vern-Barnett Award For Dental Assisting Excellence

This new award is an opportunity for Dentists and staff to recognize a valued team member and nominate them for this prestigious award.

The Vern-Barnett Award has been established to commemorate the contributions made by Kathy and Brian Vern-Barnett as individuals and as a team to the advancement and recognition of Dental Assisting as integral to the professional standing of the dental health team.

The award will presented at the Big Day Out for the Dental Team.
